Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting field inspections and environmental audits at various construction sites.
- Developing a working knowledge of Federal, State, and local stormwater regulations (including TPDES requirements).
- Documenting findings in our established written format using internal reporting platforms.
- Updating digital inspection site maps to reflect current Best Management Practices (BMPs).
- Interacting professionally with clients and site superintendents to notify them of inspection findings.
Job Requirements
- A 4-year degree in Natural Science, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a closely related field OR 3 years of work experience in the Environmental or Construction Industry.
- Enthusiasm for spending time outdoors and enjoying physical activity.
- A strong interest in learning and utilizing new technologies.
- A willingness to actively engage with Large Language Models (LLMs) and adapt to AI-assisted processes as part of your daily workflow.
- An eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
- Home Office: A dedicated space at your residence that is solely used for work purposes.
- Transportation: Use of a personal vehicle is required to travel between sites (mileage is reimbursed at the standard IRS rate).
- Availability: Ability to work some weekends as needed.
- Screening: Applicants must complete a background check and drug test.
- Initial Skills Training: Ability to physically attend a two week in person training course in Georgetown, Texas. Lodging and meals are provided.
- Must obtain CESSWI-IT certification within 16 weeks of starting employment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Base Pay: Salaried Non-Exempt position starting at $36,504.00 per year - Non-Negotiable. Employees in this role are eligible to earn overtime.
- Certification Raise: CRI covers the application and testing fees for your mandatory Certified Erosion, Sediment & Stormwater Inspector (CESSWI) - In Training exam. Passing the exam on your first attempt results in an immediate $1,000 raise!

Next Steps & Interview Process
Highly qualified candidates will be selected for a briefing where they will have a chance to speak with a current employee to find out more information about the job. If they desire to continue the process, they will be interviewed in person. The in-person interview may contain performance-based assessments to determine employee suitability.
During the process, candidates will be asked to demonstrate their familiarity with Google products (Drive, Gmail, Docs, and Sheets) and answer general questions about Android phone/tablet navigation. Candidates with degrees will be required to show proof of graduation by presenting a transcript with a degree awarded date prior to the final interview.
The final candidate pool will be interviewed in person at one of CRI’s offices, depending on the location of the position.
