Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food Runner to join our dynamic hospitality team! Duties
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring timely delivery and presentation standards are met
- Assist with clearing tables, bussing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety and hygiene standards
- Handle food with care, following proper manual handling practices to prevent accidents or spills
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to coordinate orders and special requests
- Support food preparation tasks when needed, including plating or garnishing dishes under supervision
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by assisting with general cleaning duties in the dining area and service stations
- Provide friendly, in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions about menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their dining experience
Requirements
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred; familiarity with food handling and safety protocols is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices; capable of lifting trays or boxes of food as required
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and serve guests efficiently
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and guest transactions
- Experience in bussing, cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness standards within a restaurant setting
- Demonstrated ability to work quickly in a high-energy environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent guest service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor
