Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and friendly Bus person/ food runner to join our team. As a busser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the restaurant remains in immaculate condition at all times. You are responsible for clearing tables of all plates, resetting, running food, and cleaning. It is of upmost importance that the food is delivered promptly and accurately to our guests. When delivering the food to our guests you will be expected to present each dish by title. One of your main responsibility will be to assist the waitstaff by cleaning tables/clearing soiled dishes, and delivering food from the kitchen to the dining area. In your slow periods you will restock, and clean per the needs of our restaurant. If you have a passion for hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. As a runner, you would carry trays to the servers section and ensure the food is delivered to the proper table before returning to the kitchen for more food. Our primary needs is BUSPERSON, but there may be some runner opportunities.
Responsibilities:
-Cleans table of finished dishes by politely asking if guest is finished.
-Cleans and resets the table when tables has completed their meal
-Restocks all stations with plates/silverware/napkins as needed
-Assists in the daily upkeep of the restaurant & the daily closing which involves a detailed cleaning of the restaurant.
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to the appropriate table in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy of food orders and verify that they meet quality standards
- Assist in setting up tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth food delivery process
- Communicate effectively with the waitstaff to ensure efficient service
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dishes as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any guest concerns or requests
Qualifications:
-Ability to carry and use a tray!
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both guests and team members
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
