Location: Neptune, NJ
Duration: Approximately 28 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift – 5x8 Hours (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly
- Pay Rate: $16–$18/hr based on experience
We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support daily clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will assist providers with patient care, perform clinical testing and procedures, administer pediatric immunizations, and ensure accurate patient documentation while delivering exceptional patient service.
- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, medical supplies, and instruments for patient visits and procedures
- Prepare patients for physician examinations and minor office procedures
- Obtain and record patient vital signs and medical histories in electronic medical records
- Perform clinical testing including:
- EKG
- Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT)
- Audiometry
- Titmus Testing
- Urine Drug Screening (UDS)
- Breath Alcohol Testing (BAT)
- Phlebotomy and laboratory testing
- Administer pediatric immunizations and assist with medication administration as directed
- Conduct patient screening both in person and over the phone
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain demographic and financial information
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with clinical protocols and patient confidentiality standards
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
- Current AHA BLS Certification required
- One of the following certifications required:
- CMA-NHA
- CMA-NCCT
- CMA-AAMA
- RMA-AMT
- RMA-NAHP
- AMCA
- NCMA
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required
- Pediatric immunization experience required
- Experience with patient vitals and rooming required
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English
- Ability to stand for extended periods (minimum 6 hours/day)
- Ability to lift at least 5 lbs. and push/pull at least 10 lbs.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations including varying age groups and special needs
- No floating required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No weekend or holiday requirements
