Job Summary
We are a longstanding open-shop contractor seeking an HVAC install apprentice for immediate hire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping to install commercial air conditioning (HVAC) systems and related equipment, ductwork and piping. We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1-year of experience in the commercial OR residential HVAC field. This job will include apprenticeship enrollment in the state of Connecticut S-2 or D-2 HVAC license program.
Duties
- Aid with install of HVAC equipment including Rooftop HVAC units, air handlers, split systems, fans, and hydronic equipment.
- Aid with hanging and installing ductwork and HVAC piping.
- Work with a licensed HVAC journeyman installer or team of installers to accomplish daily tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 1-year of on-the-job experience in HVAC or a related mechanical field.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems and principles
- Transportation ability to get to the jobsites daily & on-time
- Must have a reliable vehicle and be willing to travel throughout Central and South-Central Connecticut
- OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 certification are preferred.
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
