Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team. In this role, you will provide support and guidance to individuals struggling with addiction, helping them navigate their recovery journey. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions focusing on addiction recovery and coping strategies.
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to promote positive change in clients' lives.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and case management records for each client.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the hospital setting to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Facilitate family counseling sessions to support clients' relationships and enhance their recovery process.
- Engage in data collection and analysis to monitor client progress and program effectiveness.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in addiction treatment methodologies.
Skills
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and addiction counseling practices.
- Strong case management skills with experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical documentation standards and requirements.
- Experience in child family counseling and group therapy facilitation.
- Ability to provide clinical counseling and mental health support effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
