Membership Services Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage the membership services for a non-profit trade association. This role is responsible for assisting members of the Association with their questions, needs, program coordination, communication and the overall management of the membership department to ensure exceptional member experiences and satisfaction.
The ideal candidate is proactive, professional, capable of working independently, enjoys solving the problems of others and maintaining information in a membership/client database. The ideal candidate also enjoys interacting with others and is willing to communicate in person, on the telephone and via email.
This position is full-time with the expectation of a 40 hour work week in an office located in Columbia, MD. This is not a remote work opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
· Learn and maintain knowledge of all aspects of the Association in order to assist members with their questions and/or needs. Ability to make recommendations to members on how current programs and services can help.
· Primary person responsible for handling all member questions, needs or concerns. Timely responses to all communications from members is expected.
· Recruit and manage the restaurants in the Dine Around Maryland Club program and the RAM Gift Certificate program.
· Build relationships and help increase member participation in the existing partnership programs. Assist partner programs with their messaging and advertising to the membership.
· Responsible for membership database accuracy and updates.
· Provide onboarding of new members to ensure they have the information about all of the Association’s programs, services and opportunities to get more involved with activities.
· Organize local meetings for members several times a year.
· Analyze membership data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
· Experience and knowledge of working within a database and office software
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
· Ability to solve problems and a desire to help people
· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse member populations effectively.

Preferred Experience
· Previous experience in a membership services role is ideal, although not required.
· Experience working for a non-profit organization is very helpful
· Corporate meetings/events and conference experiences may be helpful
· Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry may be helpful
Pay: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
