Coffee Dog Roastery & Drive-Thru Café is looking for fast, friendly, dependable Café Food Service Team Members to help keep our café, food service, and drive-thru running smoothly.
This role starts as a Food Runner / Car Hop position, helping deliver orders to parked drive-thru cars, café tables, and waiting guests. It is a public-facing role, so we are looking for someone who is friendly, engaging, accurate, and comfortable interacting with customers.
As team members grow, they may be trained on more café food service responsibilities, including sandwich building, breakfast items, kolaches, bakery service, chicken salad, order expo, prep, packaging, Toast orders, and helping support the food line during busy periods.
This is not a traditional “cook” job and not a hidden back-of-house position. It is an active café role for someone who can move quickly, communicate well, help guests, support the team, and take pride in accurate, good-looking orders.
What You’ll Do
- Run food and drinks to parked drive-thru cars, café tables, pickup guests, and waiting customers
- Confirm names, car numbers, table numbers, ticket details, drinks, sides, and order accuracy before delivery
- Help keep the drive-thru moving by quickly delivering hot food, drinks, bakery items, and café orders
- Greet guests warmly, answer basic questions, and create a friendly Coffee Dog experience
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen, sandwich/café food station, baristas, counter, and drive-thru team
- Help organize completed orders for dine-in, drive-thru, online ordering, DoorDash, and pickup
- Make sure orders are complete, clean, accurate, and presentable before handing them to guests
- Restock napkins, utensils, bags, cups, lids, condiments, bakery items, grab-and-go items, and service supplies
- Keep the lobby, pickup area, drink station, drive-thru area, outside car-hop area, and food service areas clean and organized
- Help clear tables, wipe surfaces, sweep, clean, and maintain a welcoming café environment
- Assist with light prep, packaging, expo, bakery service, kolaches, sandwiches, chicken salad, and food line support as trained
- Follow food safety, handwashing, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures
- Stay alert during rushes and help wherever the team needs support

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, carry trays/bags, and stay active during the shift
- Food service, restaurant, retail, drive-thru, café, or customer service experience is a plus, but not required

Coffee Dog Roastery & Drive-Thru Café is a locally owned Bastrop coffeehouse and drive-thru café focused on coffee, espresso drinks, roasted coffee, bakery items, kolaches, breakfast, lunch, dinner, chicken salad, sandwiches, smoothies, and fast, friendly service.
We are building a stronger, faster, more consistent team and are looking for people who can help us deliver great service inside the café, at the drive-thru, and directly to our guests’ cars.
Pay: From $8.00 per hour
