Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Turf Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of turf maintenance equipment, including mowers, aerators, and other specialized machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably, supporting the smooth operation of our turf farm. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on turf equipment such as tractors, harvesters, mowers, trucks and other farm equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues accurately
- Repair diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment with precision, ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete repairs efficiently
- Conduct generator repairs and maintain electrical systems on turf machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed and parts used
- Assist with equipment upgrades or modifications based on operational needs or technological advancements
Skills
- Proven experience in agriculture, turf or heavy equipment industries
- Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and schematics interpretation
- Hands-on experience with automotive repair, generator repair, welding, and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with heavy machinery brands is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate various hand tools and power tools confidently
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and experience working with electrical systems in machinery
