Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Quality Engineer to join our manufacturing team. The Process Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and improving quality systems and manufacturing processes to ensure product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. This role serves as a key quality leader for new model launches, production changes, process validation activities, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Process Quality Engineer will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Production, and Supplier Quality teams to drive defect prevention, process control, and sustainable quality improvements throughout the organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance process development activities for New Model Builds (NMB), Mass Production (MP), and service operations.
- Serve as the Quality Department Change Point Champion, ensuring effective control, communication, and validation of process and product changes.
- Plan, coordinate, and verify quality results related to change points, process modifications, and new model introductions.
- Interpret customer, internal, product, testing, and manufacturing process requirements and develop appropriate quality controls, testing methods, inspection criteria, check fixtures, and quality standards.
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of: PFMEA, PQCT, Control plans, internal and Supplier Quality Standards, Limit Samples and Process Documentation.
- Conduct process and product validation activities to ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.
- Monitor, analyze, and report production quality performance metrics, identifying trends and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects, process variation, scrap, rework, and customer complaints.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ISE/Quality with proven 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Tier 1 automotive
- Proven problem solving, decision making, situation analysis, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications with hands on PPAP and APQP experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent documentation, hands-on mentality and leadership skills
- Must be able to travel, international and domestic, occasionally with minimal notice

Comp Range $75k - 85k
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
