We are currently seeking a Special Education Teacher for a full-time school-based opportunity in Minneapolis, MN for the 2026-2027 school year.
Position Details
- Full-time, Monday-Friday
- Face-to-face services only
- School-based setting
Qualifications
- Active Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) Special Education Teaching License, Tier 3 or Tier 4
- Experience working in multicultural settings and with diverse student populations preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Pay
- $50.00-$54.00 per hour
- $2,000-$2,160 weekly
Responsibilities
- Developing lesson plans and instructional materials
- Writing and implementing IEPs and evaluation reportsWriting and implementing IEPs and evaluation reports
- Delivering individualized and small-group instruction
- Adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Establishing and maintaining positive classroom behavior expectations
- Developing and implementing behavior intervention strategies
- Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate documentation
- Communicating regularly with parents, staff, and multidisciplinary teams
- Meeting all state and federal special education timelines and compliance requirements
- Participating in curriculum development, professional development, and school committees
- Candidates should possess strong classroom management, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
