Overview:
Job Purpose
The New York Stock Exchange (an Intercontinental Exchange company) is seeking a Manager of Building Operations. This role is responsible for delivering a premier workplace experience by overseeing facility operations, building infrastructure, capital improvements, and day-to-day performance across the 11 Wall Street Building.
The Manager of Building Operations ensures a safe, efficient, and hospitality-driven environment for employees, tenants, and visitors. This position blends technical building expertise with a service-oriented mindset, leading projects from concept through completion, managing vendor partnerships, and collaborating closely with internal teams to support business operations, events, and occupant satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Foster a hospitality-focused approach to building operations, ensuring a high-quality workplace experience for employees, guests, and stakeholders.
Coordinate all phases of construction and improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and operational priorities.
Partner with internal stakeholders—including executive teams, workplace experience, and events—to support space planning, special projects, and event execution.
Support event installations and activations, including reviewing logistics, assessing feasibility, verifying building constraints, and ensuring safe execution.
Solicit, evaluate, and manage proposals for building improvements, maintenance services, and operational enhancements.
Develop, manage, and forecast capital (CapEx) and operating (OpEx) budgets, ensuring cost control and accountability.
Oversee daily building operations, including maintenance, engineering, and cleaning services, with a focus on reliability and presentation.
Maintain working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety) to support informed decision-making and issue resolution.
Produce clear and professional documentation including scopes of work, project reports, schedules, and operational updates.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in building operations, facilities management, construction management, or a related field.
New York Base Salary Range
The expected base salary for this role, if located in New York, is between $90,000 - 130,000 USD. The base salary range does not include Intercontinental Exchange’s incentive compensation. While we provide this range as general guidance, at ICE we compensate employees based on the skillset and experience of the individual.
