Job Summary
As a Front Desk Agent, you will be the welcoming face of our hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences from the moment they arrive. Your energetic and friendly demeanor will ensure guests feel valued, comfortable, and eager to return. You will handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, manage guest inquiries with enthusiasm, and coordinate with various hotel departments to maintain smooth operations. Your proactive approach and hospitality expertise will contribute to creating memorable stays for our guests while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression of the hotel
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes accurately and efficiently using hotel management software
- Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and a solutions-oriented attitude
- Operate multi-line phone systems, answer calls promptly, and direct them appropriately
- Maintain detailed records of guest reservations, billing, and special requests
- Assist with night audit procedures to ensure all financial transactions are completed correctly overnight
- Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to address guest needs promptly
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette and guest relations standards at all times
- Support multilingual guests by providing services in their preferred language when possible
- Ensure the front desk area remains organized, welcoming, and aligned with brand standards
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to guest interactions
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities to serve a diverse clientele effectively
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
- Experience with night audit procedures is a plus
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism and positivity
- Familiarity with resort environments or large-scale hotels enhances your effectiveness in this role
Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills; ability to learn property management software (PMS).
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in high-pressure situations.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
Preferred:
- Previous hotel or customer service experience.
- Experience with hotel PMS systems
- Bilingual abilities (helpful but not required).
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.
- Frequent walking, bending, and reaching.
