Overview
IBC operates a full-service foundry, forge (hammers, press and ring roller) with heat treating and machining in Franklin, Indiana. Equipment consists of furnaces, saws, hammers, 1500-ton press, California style ring roller and a full machine shop with manual and CNC lathes and mills.
Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist and Production Coordinator tracks material levels and streamlines manufacturing workflows communicating closely with the purchasing and various department managers. This hybrid role ensures inventory accuracy while aligning production schedules with customer demand. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Duties
· Monitor raw materials, work-in-process (WIP) and finished goods.
· Conduct regular cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
· Investigate and correct discrepancies between physical stock and ERP system.
· Communicate closely with purchasing manager to maintain optimal stock levels to prevent shortages and excess inventories.
· Track production through the ERP system sufficiently to provide feedback to production and senior management toward any concerns or bottlenecks and assist in prioritizing schedules to meet customer demand
· Identify and assist in the resolution of supply constraint or scheduling conflicts
· Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· 2-4 years in inventory control, production scheduling or manufacturing operations
· Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, kneeling).
· Valid Indiana driver’s license
