Pre-Employment Inquiry - Physical Positions - Delivery Drivers
The position which you are applying for is a physically demanding position. It is our wish to hire individuals who are physically able to perform the essential functions/duties of the position without increased potential to injure themselves and/or co-workers.
DELIVERY DRIVER (includes but is not limited to the following duties):
Inspect truck daily for road worthiness, doing routine maintenance and/or advising A1 Doors management of maintenance work needed, as it is needed
Load and secure materials (doors, moulding, stair parts, locks, flooring, etc.) for daily deliveries, as given by A1 Doors management
Gas vehicle up daily
Deliver materials to destination(s) as indicated on the paperwork and/or as given by management via other means as needed
Unload and move materials to customer’s desired location as directed by the customer and/or A1
Doors management
Accept payments of Cash / Check from any customer’s as will be directed by the paperwork and/or A1 Doors management
Have customer verify ALL materials are delivered and NOTE ANY missing items with quantities
NOT on the delivery
Get customer signature for delivered materials
Pick up RETURN/CREDIT materials as indicated on the paperwork and/or as given by management via other means as needed, NOTING items and quantities picked up and/or damages found on any RETURN/CREDIT materials
Turn in ALL paperwork with payments to A1 Doors inside sales staff or A1 Doors Bookkeeper or
A1 Doors management
Advise A1 Doors management of any shortages and/or problems on your deliveries ASAP
Report any Accidents and/or Injuries to A1 Doors management IMMEDIATELY
Clean vehicle as needed
DAILY ACTIVITIES WITH PERCENTAGES OF TIME EXPECTED TO BE SPENT DOING TASKS:
Lifting (up to 50 lbs) ----------------------- 30%
Moving (up to 50 lbs) ---------------------- 30%
Reaching (over, under behind, etc.) ------ 15%
Sitting (driving primarily) ----------------- 20%
Standing ------------------------------------- 5%
