Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care to patients in a psychiatric/mental health setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working with individuals experiencing mental health or behavioral health challenges.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to psychiatric and behavioral health patients.
- Assess patients' physical and mental health conditions and document findings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient behavior, vital signs, and changes in clinical condition.
- Assist with crisis intervention, de-escalation, and maintaining a safe environment.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and health management.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Follow facility policies, safety procedures, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous psychiatric, behavioral health, mental health, or acute-care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients experiencing behavioral or psychiatric conditions.
- BLS/CPR certification preferred/required as applicable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Pay: $51.00 - $59.00 per hour
