American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Surgical ICU (SICU) position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, working night shifts with floating requirements.

Surgical ICU (SICU) in a 562-bed acute care hospital designated as a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet facility
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)

Every other weekend required

Floating is required for all travelers — within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital

Charting via Cerner
-
Scrubs: any solid color
-
On-site parking is available at no cost
-
Active IL RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS — must be active; AHA or Red Cross accepted (RQI AHA cards not accepted)

SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers will not be considered for this position

Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler

Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction

Travel pairs are not accepted

RTO of 5 days or fewer is pre-approved; requests exceeding 5 days require facility approval

Candidates must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays
