Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Inspector to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Responsibilities
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as magnetic particle inspection (MPI), to detect surface and subsurface flaws in materials.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing specifications to accurately assess component integrity.
- Perform surface mount technology inspections and quality control checks during assembly processes to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and soldering equipment for precise measurements and component assembly verification.
- Collect and analyze data from inspections, documenting findings meticulously in reports for quality assurance purposes.
- Follow API & ISO codes & standards and other relevant regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance during all inspection activities.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of non-destructive testing techniques including magnetic particle inspection (MPI)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, soldering irons, and other precision measurement devices.
- Experience with surface mount technology, quality control, and quality assurance processes within manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with steel magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and steel radiographic testing (RT) for detecting flaws in ferrous materials.
- Ability to analyze inspection data accurately and prepare detailed reports aligned with ASME codes & standards.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills necessary for interpreting complex technical information related to aircraft non-destructive testing projects.
