Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of electrical systems for commercial and institutional building projects, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to manage projects from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and oversee electrical systems for building projects.
- Prepare electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Perform electrical load calculations, feasibility studies, and system analyses.
- Ensure designs comply with NFPA, NEC, energy codes, and local building regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Conduct quality reviews and support construction administration activities.
- Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for technical accuracy.
- Resolve engineering and construction-related issues throughout project execution.
- Communicate project updates and technical recommendations to internal teams and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience in building design.
- Strong knowledge of electrical system design, power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems.
- Experience with NFPA, NEC, energy codes, and applicable building regulations.
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
- Experience with new construction projects and high-rise buildings is highly preferred.
Pay: From $95,082.95 per year
