We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services to residents of an assisted living facility. The Nurse Practitioner will work a minimum of three days per week, during reasonable daytime hours. Scheduling can be arranged around the provider’s availability.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform routine primary care visits and resident health assessments
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
Review medications, laboratory results, and treatment plans
Prescribe medications and order appropriate testing
Complete timely clinical documentation
Coordinate care with facility staff, families, specialists, and the supervising physician
Help prevent avoidable emergency-room visits and hospitalizations
Qualifications
Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner license
Family, adult-gerontology, or geriatric certification preferred
Current DEA registration and prescribing authority
Experience with older adults, primary care, or assisted living preferred
Strong communication, organization, and clinical decision-making skills
Schedule and Compensation
Minimum commitment: Three days per week
Flexible daytime scheduling
No overnight shifts
Compensation: $55–$65 per hour as an independent contractor, based on experience and employment structure
