Access Behavioral Health Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment. We serve adult participants with persistent mental illness and/or developmental disabilities. Our Residential Habilitation program enables adults of all ages to live in their own homes while receiving 24-hour support and services.
DSPs play a vital role in assisting participants gain independence and enhancing their quality of life. Direct Care Staff provide professional supportive services and strategies to assist and encourage our clients as they work towards independence in their home and community.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Assist participants in activities of daily life
- Engage with participants in their homes and in the community
- Assist participants with transportation
- Provide assistance with medications
- Provide support to participants in increasing independence
- Promote community activities and outings
- Effectively collaboration with team members
- Implement participant-centered plans
- Accurately document program data
- Ensure participant safety
- Assist in housekeeping with participants
- Complete all initial and ongoing trainings

Available Shift Types
- Full and Part-time positions
- Day shift - 7am-3pm
- Swing shift - 3pm-11pm
- Graveyard shift - 11pm-7am
- Opportunities for overtime hours (when available)
- Locations in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, & Caldwell
Qualifications
- NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED! Previous experience in personal care or other related fields is a plus, but not a must.
- Ability to work in home-like settings
- Communication Skills (both verbal and written)
- CPR certification (we'll help you gain this if you do not have it!)
- Driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time
- Must be 18 or older
