Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive demolition cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and site conditions using tools like Bluebeam.
- Develop detailed proposals that include scope of work, pricing, schedules, and resource requirements to secure project wins.
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors through negotiation to establish fair and competitive pricing while maintaining profitability.
- Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to compile accurate bids and track project costs effectively.
- Conduct site visits to assess demolition requirements, safety considerations, and logistical challenges to refine estimates.
- Manage contract negotiations and review contractual documents to ensure scope alignment and risk mitigation.
- Support project management teams by providing cost control insights, tracking budget adherence, and assisting with change order processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on demolition projects or heavy civil work.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project lifecycle processes.
- Familiarity with estimating tools such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar software platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors to achieve win-win outcomes.
- Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into demolition operations and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate across teams and present clear, detailed proposals.
- Prior experience in cost control, pricing strategies, and project management within the construction industry is highly desirable.
