Overview
Join our lawn maintenance team as a Crew Leader, where your leadership skills and outdoor expertise will drive the success of our landscaping projects. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, manage a crew of skilled workers, and ensure high-quality grounds care for a variety of commercial clients. Your ability to coordinate tasks efficiently, operate grounds maintenance equipment safely, and lead by example will be essential in delivering exceptional outdoor spaces. A valid driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles and facilitate timely project completion.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of grounds maintenance workers, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment including mowers, trimmers, blowers, irrigation systems, and hardscape tools
- Daily work schedules for crew members based on project requirements and client specifications
- Conduct site assessments to identify plant types, landscape features, irrigation needs, and potential hazards
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all outdoor work activities and equipment operation
- Coordinate with team members to schedule projects, address concerns, and deliver excellent service
Experience
- Proven experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening with a strong understanding of horticulture principles
- Supervising or crew management experience in outdoor
- Knowledge of plant identification, tree care, hardscape installation, and grounds maintenance techniques
- Ability to operate landscaping and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team in outdoor environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating company vehicles confidently
