Manufacturing Support Lead
Location: Worcester, MA
Pay: $25.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM–2:00 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday

Position Overview
Savvy Staffing is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Support Lead to join our team in Worcester, MA. This is a hands-on leadership role supporting daily manufacturing operations in a metal fabrication environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in welding, metal manufacturing, robotic welding setup, and material handling. Prior supervisory or lead experience is a strong plus. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working on the production floor, helping troubleshoot operations, coordinating materials, and supporting a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing and production operations
- Assist with robotic welder setup and operation
- Provide hands-on support in welding and metal manufacturing processes
- Coordinate and move materials throughout the production area
- Help ensure production schedules and goals are met
- Assist with troubleshooting equipment and production issues
- Monitor workflow and help maintain an efficient production environment
- Support and provide direction to production employees
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures
- Perform other manufacturing support duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in welding and/or metal manufacturing
- Experience with robotic welding setup strongly preferred
- Material handling experience
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Prior Lead or Supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong attendance and reliability
- Ability to work required overtime
Schedule & Overtime
The regular schedule is 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.
Overtime is required. During the summer months, the facility typically operates until approximately 4:00 PM daily. After the summer season, overtime is expected to be approximately 5 hours per week, depending on production needs.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
