Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards and electrical codes, including the NEC (National Electrical Code). Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in commercial, industrial, and renovation settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues effectively.
- Work safely on construction sites by adhering to OSHA standards and electrical safety protocols.
- Install and maintain low voltage systems such as security alarms, communication lines, and control wiring for PLCs.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing electrical systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with other trades such as frame carpentry and general contractors to coordinate project timelines and requirements.
- Conduct inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with NEC standards and local regulations.
- Assist in schematic reading for complex electrical systems involving high voltage applications.
- Support renovation projects by updating or replacing outdated wiring and electrical components.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification recognized in your jurisdiction.
- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong understanding of electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage wiring, high voltage systems, and schematics.
- Familiarity with NEC standards for safe electrical installation practices.
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers; power tools including drills and saws; ohmmeters; and other testing devices effectively.
- Experience working with renovation projects involving framing carpentry or handyman skills is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction processes combined with excellent problem-solving skills.

Pay: $31.00 - $45.00 per hour
