Job Overview
This is a 2nd shift position. Hours will be 3:00pm to 11:00pm. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Assembler to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a variety of industrial equipment, your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality components through precise machine operation, assembly, and quality inspection. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship are paramount.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor machinery.
- Set up and adjust industrial equipment using hand tools and measurement instruments to ensure optimal performance
- Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments and dimensional measurement techniques to verify product specifications meet standards
- Perform assembly tasks involving materials handling, use of hand tools to assemble parts accurately
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery or robotic systems by following engineering troubleshooting procedures
- Maintain safety protocols by adhering to all safety guidelines and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and team members
- Assist in materials handling within the warehouse or production area, including forklift operation when certified
- Document production data, quality checks, and machine maintenance activities clearly and accurately
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating manufacturing equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment issues effectively
- Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools for quality control purposes
- Basic math skills for setting up machines and interpreting technical drawings or specifications
- Experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred)
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to industrial equipment operation and manufacturing environments
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality inspection and adherence to process standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and craftsmanship
