Gilman & Bedigian, a law firm serving clients in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., New Jersey, and Texas is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our personal injury firm. This position provides a valuable and fulfilling career opportunity in a fast-paced legal environment.
It is important that you have the requisite experience and are able to hit the ground running. Your prior experience and skills should include the following:
- 2-3 years minimum experience working in a personal injury law firm (less than this will not be considered)
- Experience with taking intakes, case management, insurance claims, property damage claims, medical records request, demand preparation, and litigation
- Knowledge of medical and insurance terms
- Capable of handling a caseload of between 40-50 active cases
- General computer knowledge is required
Duties range from administrative tasks to dynamic communication with clients and attorneys.
Responsibilities:
- Processing incoming mail
- Acquire and review medical records and bills
- Create Demands and Medical Strategies
- Managing E-filing
- Construct and revise pleadings and motions
- Calendaring and Scheduling
- Communicating with clients and attorneys
- Responsible for 40-50 active cases
- Accurately maintain and update Neos (Case Management Software)
