Position Overview:
We are seeking a Director of Coaching to lead and grow our Feet First Soccer and Step Up Soccer Academy programs in Springfield. This role involves overseeing preschool and youth soccer training programs, managing and training coaches, and expanding our programs across various league locations and preschool facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Management:
- Organize, promote, and coach Upstart Athletics soccer programs at league locations and childcare centers.
- Maintain and build relationships with new and existing schools.
- Plan and organize weekend leagues.
- Schedule and organize classes for schools and coaches.
2. Marketing and Growth:
- Visit childcare centers and potential league locations to promote Feet First programs.
- Schedule and run free demo sessions.
- Recruit new partner schools and promote classes to parents.
- Recruit, hire, and train new coaches.
- Promote and expand seasonal leagues.
3. Supervision and Training:
- Manage and train Feet First/Step Up class and league coaches.
- Conduct performance reviews and lead team development meetings.
- Plan and coordinate new program offerings and seasonal leagues.
- Oversee record keeping and analyze participation data for marketing efforts.
4. Collaboration:
- Collaborate directly with other Directors in NW Arkansas and Nashville, TN.
- Work together on curriculum development, coach management, and marketing ideas.
5. Work Environment:
- Combination of working at partner schools, league locations, marketing throughout the community, and from home.
- Flexible schedule, prioritizing key league dates.
6. Coaching:
- Coach an average of 15 hours per week in classes and leagues.
7. Marketing and Public Relations:
- Increase visibility of Upstart Athletics programs through printed materials, email newsletters, social media, community events, and free soccer sessions.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and proven leadership ability.
- Experience in planning, organizing, and leading large events.
- Knowledge and experience in child development.
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Passion for soccer and child/youth development.
- Energetic and active, capable of working 40 hours per week.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
