Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual needs and develop tailored intervention strategies
- Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors
- Collect, analyze, and document data meticulously during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including families, caregivers, and healthcare providers, to ensure cohesive care plans and effective communication
- Manage medical documentation and maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Facilitate intake processes by gathering relevant medical history, conducting behavioral health screenings, and supporting initial patient evaluations
- Provide ongoing patient care by adjusting interventions based on data insights, ensuring ethical practices, and adhering to all applicable guidelines
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or related field; Master’s degree or higher preferred
- Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligible for certification; experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities highly valued
- Proven experience applying behavioral therapy techniques within clinical or educational settings
- Strong understanding of applied behavior analysis (ABA), medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation procedures
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and electronic health record systems
- Experience working directly with children or individuals with disabilities in a compassionate, patient-centered manner
- Ability to collect detailed data during sessions and translate findings into effective treatment strategies
