Community Support Staff (CCSI)
We are currently hiring for a Community Support Specialist, a rewarding position where you will work directly with individuals with developmental disabilities to support their goals for independence, social engagement, and community inclusion.
As a CCSI, you’ll spend meaningful time out in the community—helping individuals build skills, explore interests, participate in community activities, and work toward career or personal development goals. This position is relationship-focused, active, and highly impactful.
---Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities. Assist individuals in accessing community resources, engaging in social and recreational activities, and pursuing educational or employment opportunities.
Document services provided and track progress toward individual goals.
Serve as a positive role model and advocate for inclusion and autonomy.
Communicate regularly with supervisors, team members, and the individual’s support network.
Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality.---
---Requirements:
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle to transport individuals as needed. Driving is a crucial and required part of the role.
High school diploma or GED required, experience working with individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities is strongly preferred.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in a variety of community settings.
Strong communication, patience, empathy, and interpersonal skills.--
Schedule & Pay: Flexible scheduling options, including daytime, evening, and weekend hours. Competitive hourly pay based on experience.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
