What You’ll Do:
- Provide immediate and ongoing assessment, diagnosis, planning, and intervention for ED patients.
- Monitor and administer medications and treatments, observing for adverse effects.
- Document patient history, treatment plans, and care activities accurately.
- Deliver patient education tailored to individual needs, involving families and caregivers.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced ED environment, potentially float to other departments as needed.
- Demonstrate competent practice in trauma, medical, and critical care cases, including moderate sedation.
- Maintain compliance with unit standards and protocols, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective care.
What You Need:
- Valid RN license in Texas or a compact state
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of recent ER nursing experience; trauma, pediatrics, and sedation skills preferred
- Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt and work efficiently in high-pressure situations
