Duties
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground mounts
- Assemble and mount solar panels, racking systems, and electrical components
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and technical diagrams
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and company guidelines
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and basic electrical work
- Work closely with electricians and project managers to complete installations on schedule
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while following strict safety protocols
- Conduct routine maintenance and system checks as needed
Skills
- Hands-on experience in solar installation, roofing, or construction environments
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems and solar PV components
- Ability to read schematics and technical drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable team player with good communication skills
- OSHA certification or safety training is a plus
Performance Expectations
- Complete 100% of assigned installations on time and to standard
- Maintain a 95%+ quality and safety compliance rate
- Ensure accurate documentation for permits, inspections, and project closeouts
- Minimize rework through precision and attention to detail
Required Experience
- 1–3+ years of experience in solar installation, roofing, construction, or electrical work
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Experience with PV systems is a strong advantage
