Role Summary
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Quality Inspector to perform visual inspections of new and reclaimed automotive parts. In this role, you will be our frontline defense against defective parts, ensuring that only good, useable components pass on to the next steps of our production lines.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine visual and tactile inspections of transmission components and assemblies for cracks, burrs, wear, chips, contaminants, and other physical defects.
Verify part cleanliness, proper labeling, and general condition before releasing to assembly stations.
Identify, flag, and quarantine non-conforming or defective parts, promptly notifying the Quality Inspector Lead.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, automotive, or industrial production environment.
Bilingual (English / Spanish): Strongly preferred.
Eye for Detail: Strong visual inspection ability and pride in catching subtle physical defects.
Work Ethic: Strong attendance track record, punctuality, and a collaborative team attitude.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Hands-on Environment: This is an active, fast-paced automotive remanufacturing plant—not a clean room environment. Parts can be dirty, oily, or coated in fluids.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and move at a designated inspection station for the majority of a standard 8-hour shift.
Lifting: Ability to regularly lift, push, and carry parts weighing up to 40–50 lbs. safely.
