Job Summary:
We are seeking Journeyman Inside Wiremen for a large-scale industrial project in Wilson, NC. This is a long-term position with an estimated duration of 2 years, working through IBEW Local 553. Above-scale pay and substantial overtime make this a strong opportunity for experienced wiremen looking for steady, extended work.
Compensation:
- $37.44/hour base journeyman scale, plus $5.00 over scale
- 58 hours/week — five 10-hour days plus one 8-hour day (Monday–Saturday)
- Significant overtime hours
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Saturday
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in an industrial setting
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code requirements
- Perform conduit bending, wire pulling, terminations, and equipment installation
- Work safely and in compliance with OSHA standards and site requirements
Qualifications:
- Journeyman-level experience in industrial electrical installation
- Valid OSHA-10 certification completed within the last 5 years
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Must pass a substance abuse test
- Ability to commit to a 58-hour work week for the project duration
