Ghost City Tours is hiring Tour Guides to lead engaging, high-energy walking tours sharing local history,
ghost stories, and legends.
Job Overview
As a Tour Guide / Ghost Tour Guide, you will:
- Lead guided walking tours through historic areas
- Deliver engaging storytelling performances to groups
- Entertain guests with history, true crime, and ghost stories
- Provide excellent customer service while managing groups
Key Details
- Tours are ~90 minutes (up to 2 hours for specialty tours)
- Walking distance: ~1 mile per tour
- Must be comfortable walking, standing, and speaking for extended periods
- Tours run year-round (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
Pay & Compensation
Training Pay:
After Training:
$50 base pay per tour + tips
- Typical total earnings: $50–$150+ per tour
- Top performers can earn significantly more with tips
- Weekly direct deposit (Fridays)

Minimum Requirements
- Strong public speaking or presentation skills
- Outgoing, confident, and comfortable with groups
- Reliable transportation
- Punctual and dependable
- Must live within 20 miles of the tour location
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Tour guide experience
- Acting, theater, improv, or performance background
- Customer service or hospitality experience
- Teaching, history, or storytelling experience
