FT DAIRY/FROZEN CLERK
REPORTS TO: Dairy/Frozen Food Manager
JOB FUNCTION: Maintain pricing, stocking, and rotating of merchandise in the Frozen Food and Dairy Departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Observe all store rules and company policies.
2. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance at all times and observe company dress regulations.
3. Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and courteous service.
4. Observe shift-operating hours at all times as scheduled by department manager.
5. Keep displays and shelves well stocked and rotated.
6. Ensure that all featured items are attractively signed to attract customer attention and stimulate sales.
7. Maintain housekeeping and sanitation standards in compliance with store policy and state and local health regulations on a regular, ongoing basis.
8. Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise.
9. Handle damaged, outdated and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
10. Comply with safety policies and procedures.
11. Assist in ordering and maintaining inventory control.
12. Use correct pricing and ensure that all merchandise is properly priced.
13. Monitor temperatures and operating condition of storage areas and cases; promptly communicate any problems to management.
14. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
15. Be able to stock coolers and freezers and endure working under temperature extremes in refrigerated and frozen food storage areas up to 30 minutes at a time.
16. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull wheeled vehicles weighing up to 1,000 lbs.
17. Other duties as requested by management.
