Warehouse Order Selectors - 4094
Overview:
We are seeking Warehouse Order Selectors for temp-to-hire opportunities supporting distribution center operations in Wells, ME. This role involves selecting grocery, frozen, and perishable products using a voice-controlled system and electric pallet jack, preparing pallets for shipment, and ensuring accurate and efficient warehouse operations. This position includes a structured 17-week training and evaluation period, after which candidates may be considered for full-time employment based on performance. Training is available in both English and Spanish, and bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
Shift/Schedule Details:
- First Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Schedule 1: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
- Schedule 2: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
- Schedule assignment will be determined based on the week the candidate starts.
- Overtime is optional during the training period. After conversion to full-time employment, overtime will be based on seniority.
- Paid Lunch: 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM
- Break: 8:45 AM – 9:00 AM
Duties:
- Use a voice-controlled system to select full-case grocery, frozen, and perishable products using a ride-on electric pallet jack.
- Wear a headset throughout the entire shift while completing order selection tasks.
- Build and palletize cases and prepare pallets for shipment to local stores.
- Safely operate warehouse equipment after obtaining required clearance.
- Follow all safety procedures, training instructions, and warehouse policies.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity while completing assigned warehouse tasks.
- Lift and move products weighing up to 60 lbs. throughout the shift, including lifting to shoulder level and overhead.
- Support distribution center operations and complete other assigned duties as needed.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and training instructions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. at any given time to shoulder level and overhead throughout the shift.
- Ability to operate or obtain clearance to operate an electric pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
- Must be eligible to work without employment duration limitations.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English; bilingual English/Spanish candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Must be able to complete required pre-employment site tour.
- Must wear required safety shoes on the first day of work.
- Must be able to work the assigned schedule and overtime requirements when applicable.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
