Full-Time Remote WordPress Malware Removal & Website Security Specialist
We’re looking for an experienced WordPress Malware Removal & Website Security Specialist to join our team on a full-time remote basis. WordPressFixer.com specializes in WordPress bug fixing, malware removal, website security, and hacked website recovery, and we’re looking for someone who can handle multiple client websites and security projects efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Identifying and removing WordPress malware, web shells, and backdoors
- Cleaning infected or modified WordPress core files
- Removing malicious code injections and suspicious scripts
- Inspecting themes and plugins for compromise
- Identifying hidden backdoors and malware persistence mechanisms
- Checking WordPress databases for malicious or unauthorized content
- Investigating suspicious users, cron jobs, redirects, and injected code
- Resolving Google malware and security warnings when applicable
- Securing and hardening WordPress websites against future attacks
- Verifying websites are completely clean after remediation
- Monitoring and troubleshooting recurring security issues
- Handling multiple WordPress malware removal and security projects simultaneously
- Managing tasks and priorities to ensure projects are completed within deadlines
Requirements
- Proven professional experience in WordPress malware removal and hacked website recovery
- Strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress architecture, and web security
- Experience with cPanel/WHM, SSH, Linux hosting, and server environments
- Ability to analyze malware scanner reports and identify malicious code
- Strong understanding of WordPress vulnerabilities and common attack vectors
- Ability to identify hidden backdoors and persistence mechanisms
- Experience cleaning compromised plugins, themes, databases, and WordPress core files
- Knowledge of WordPress security hardening and malware prevention
- Ability to troubleshoot security issues independently
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality
- Excellent time management and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Good written communication and ability to provide clear project updates
Preferred Experience
Experience with the following is a plus:
- Wordfence, Sucuri, or similar WordPress security tools
- Google Safe Browsing malware warnings
- SEO spam and malicious redirects
- PHP malware and obfuscated code
- Compromised WordPress admin accounts
- Malicious JavaScript injections
- Website reinfection and persistence issues
- cPanel, WHM, SSH, and Linux server security
