Part-Time Construction Estimator
Rauser Builders, LLC is seeking an experienced Part-Time Construction Estimator to support our growing commercial, civil, and residential construction divisions.
This position is ideal for a seasoned estimator looking for flexible hours while contributing to a growing Montana-based general contractor. The successful candidate will have
experience preparing accurate estimates across multiple construction sectors and be capable of working independently from bid solicitation through final proposal.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
- Develop complete project estimates for residential, commercial, and civil construction projects.
- Identify project risks and opportunities during the estimating process.
- Assist with value engineering and budgeting.
- Work closely with project management and operations to ensure accurate project handoffs.
- Meet bid deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Qualifications
- Extensive estimating experience in construction is required.
- Proven experience estimating residential, commercial, and civil construction projects. Or some combination of the three.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, equipment, materials, and sequencing.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
- Experience with estimating software is preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft business applications and productivity tools.
Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience. We are seeking the right individual and are willing to offer competitive pay based on qualifications and proven estimating expertise.
