Bonafide Conglomerate Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Senior Groundskeeper to support landscape maintenance operations at a federal contract site in San Diego, California. This position performs skilled groundskeeping and landscape maintenance duties, operates equipment independently, and may serve as acting Crew Leader when assigned.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in landscape maintenance operations within commercial or government environments.
Pay
- $25.34–$27.00 per hour
- Includes a $4.93 per hour Health & Welfare (H&W) benefit
Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Landscape & Grounds Maintenance
- Perform landscape maintenance duties including mowing, edging, trimming, weed control, debris removal, and general groundskeeping
- Operate zero-turn and stand-on mowers safely and efficiently
- Operate pressure washers and landscape maintenance equipment
- Prune shrubs and small trees as needed
- Perform irrigation troubleshooting and minor irrigation repairs
- Apply fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with company procedures and applicable safety requirements under appropriate supervision/licensing
Operational & Team Support
- Train and assist Groundskeeper/Technician I employees as assigned
- May serve as acting Crew Leader during designated assignments or operational needs
- Enter daily work reports and operational updates into the company QC system
- Follow all company safety procedures, site requirements, and operational protocols
Vehicle & Equipment Responsibilities
- Drive company vehicles and safely tow equipment trailers
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle and equipment inspections
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in safe operating condition
Qualifications
- Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Demonstrated ability to safely tow and maneuver equipment trailers
- Minimum two (2) years of landscape maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance equipment
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to pass and maintain any required federal background clearance
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions
- Ability to safely operate landscape equipment, tools, and vehicles
