Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain impeccable standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Conduct detailed floor care including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to keep all surfaces spotless and safe for guests and staff
- Assist with janitorial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and deep cleaning projects to support overall hotel maintenance
- Support housekeeping management by organizing supplies, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring cleaning schedules are met efficiently
- Maintain safety protocols during cleaning procedures and handle cleaning equipment responsibly to promote a secure environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas of the hotel meet cleanliness standards and guest expectations are exceeded
- Contribute to a positive guest experience by responding promptly to special requests related to cleanliness or maintenance needs
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within a hospitality or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, polishing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping operations and standards for guest room maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively in busy environments
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and orderliness
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in hospitality or housekeeper management is a plus but not required
