Field Engineer – Server Hardware Support

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Field Engineer to provide on-site and remote support for enterprise server systems. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining server hardware in customer environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting and repair of server systems
- Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with enterprise server equipment
- Perform break/fix repairs, preventive maintenance, and parts replacement
- Support customer escalations and ensure timely resolution
- Troubleshoot hardware, BIOS, drivers, firmware, and system configuration issues
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams
- Perform server testing, simulations, and fault troubleshooting
- Document issues, resolutions, and service activities
- Travel to customer locations as needed
- Manage assigned service requests independently
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting enterprise server hardware preferred
- Strong break/fix and field service experience
- Hands-on experience with servers such as Supermicro, Dell, HP, or EMC preferred
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience supporting Windows and/or Linux environments preferred
- Knowledge of BIOS, drivers, firmware, and system configurations
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
