We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Armed Security Officer will work in diverse settings, ensuring compliance with security protocols and providing a visible deterrent against potential threats.
Duties
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security breaches.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Conduct thorough inspections of premises and property to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Provide first aid and CPR as necessary during emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required and assist in investigations related to security incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Participate in ongoing training programs related to loss prevention and security best practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including emergency response plans.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
