Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure timely delivery of quality dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, including washing dishes and bussing tables as needed
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to safety standards
- Support restaurant operations by managing POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing
- Help with food service tasks including serving guests, setting up buffet or banquet areas, and supporting catering events
- Ensure guest satisfaction through attentive customer service and effective communication with team members
- Contribute to a positive work environment by collaborating with kitchen staff, servers, and management
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and guests
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a busy kitchen setting
- Experience in banquet service, hotel kitchens, or culinary environments is advantageous
