Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Duties
- Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar systems
- Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Manage payroll processing accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis
- Support budgeting activities by maintaining detailed financial records and preparing reports as needed
- Conduct account reconciliation tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation, to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Qualifications
- Experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with strong knowledge of accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or comparable software
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and account analysis
- Familiarity with public accounting practices or non-profit accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and financial report writing for accurate data analysis and presentation
- Knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP) and technical accounting principles required for precise financial management
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
