Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages with professionalism and flair
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Process cash and credit card transactions accurately while handling cash safely
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating flow
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine, spirits, and menu options to guests
- Ensure guest relations are positive by addressing questions or concerns promptly
Requirements
- Previous food service experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic math skills for processing sales transactions and managing tabs
- Culinary experience or food industry background is a plus but not required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong communication skills to engage with guests and team members effectively
