The Baker/Cafe Back of House Staff Member is responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining inventory, preparing pastries and desserts (par baked and from scratch), assisting with making sandwiches to order, cleaning kitchen/baking rooms, ordering, date rotation/organization and general food safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Ensuring all menu items and specialty items are baked ahead of time and fully stocked, following exact recipes and instructions
· Maintain a cleaned, organized and sanitary work station in compliance with food safety standards. Including proper storage and handling of all ingredients, supplies and products, including date rotation and food handling procedures.
· Restock and organize supplies, including coffee beans, syrups, toppings, utensils, packing material and other necessary items for operation.
· Inventory control and order products/ingredients
· Maintain effective communication with other team members.
Qualifications:
· Food safety certification ideal but not required.
· Must be 18 or over to operate ovens, mixers and other equipment.
· Shifts are Tuesday-Friday 6am-2:30pm & Saturday 7am-3:30pm
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
