Position Summary:
The Assistant Men's Basketball coach will assist the head coach in the planning and operation of a NCAA Division II program. Assist with the practice and game preparation as assigned; evaluate performances, make recommendations to the head coach regarding individual participation in games.

Coordinate activities through the Head Men's Basketball Coach.

Ability to effectively teach fundamentals, position details and strategies of basketball during preparation and practice sessions.

Ability to travel and recruit student-athletes.

Ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to learn and comply with all policies and regulations of the University, and the NCAA.

Ability to scout opponents

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in sports administration, management, business administration or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Two to three years of experience in coaching and/or playing in the respective sport, ideally at the intercollegiate Division II level.

Ability to recruit highly skilled student-athletes. Must be highly motivated with an outstanding work ethic. Knowledge of NCAA rules.
