American Testing Services is looking to grow our remote staff working full time on location at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. Willingness to work at height in excess of 100 feet is a must! Work hours vary seasonally based on park operating hours and needs.
An ideal candidate will hold:
- Level 2 certification in MT and/or VT (SNT-TC-1A or NAS 410)
- SPRAT certification.
However, prior experience and certification is NOT required!!! We are willing to train the right person.
Wages will depend on experience and current certifications.

Title: Cedar Point NDT Technician
Reports to: Structures Department Manager
Status: Full-time, year-round
Position Summary:
This position exists to provide non-destructive testing inspections of both amusement ride structures and critical parts on-site at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio and is a remote post from our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters.
Ride structure inspections require daily work at height in excess of 100 feet, either from a man-lift or structure climb. A large portion of work is completed outdoors with exposure to hot and cold weather, and shifts vary from first to third depending on the season of operation. Accurate and timely reporting of inspection results is a critical function of this position.
Because this position is located remotely from our Miamisburg, Ohio headquarters, individual time management skills are essential. Clear and timely communication with the Structure Department Manager is also imperative.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· NDT / NDE Level II certification in magnetic particle and visual inspection methods preferred but not required.
· IRATA / SPRAT certification a plus.
· Additional NDT certifications a plus.

The employee frequently works in low light / poorly lit conditions and is frequently exposed to insects, such as spiders.
