Homewatch CareGivers of Cape May is seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for patients by assisting with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their overall well-being. This position requries a strong commitment to patient care.
Duties Include
- Assist patients with daily living acitivites such as bathing, dressing, grooming and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, fostering a positive enviroment.
- Monitor and doucment patient health status, including vital signs and any changes in condition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation as required by healthcare protocols.
- Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring patient safety at all times.
- Assist with memory care activities for patients experiencing cognitive challenges.
- Launder patient clothing and bedding as needed to maintain hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or home helath aide roles is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices is highly desirable
- Experience in long-term care settings is a plus, especially for those working with elderly or disabled patients.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous.
- Strong observational skills to recognize changes in patient conditions effectly.
